ACCIONA to award the best photography on sustainability at MadridFoto

Madrid Foto logoACCIONA, the Spanish company focused on renewable energy, infrastructure and water, will hold the Sustainability Prize at the first edition of MadridFoto, the international photography fair focusing on contemporary trends, set to take place at Madrid's IFEMA trade fair centre May 7 to 10.

MadridFoto will cover more than 4,000m2 of exhibition space, with fifty international galleries taking part. These galleries will showcase the works of more than 350 photographers from around the world, with the aim of demonstrating contemporary trends in the art of photography.

ACCIONA will award 12,000 euros to the work that best mirrors the concept of sustainability as a commitment to balanced economic development, wealth creation, social welfare and respect for the environment. The panel of judges will include the curators and art critics that form part of the MadridFoto panel, as well as a representative from ACCIONA.

The judges will select the winning image for its artistic value in its reflection of the concept of sustainability. The winner will be announced May 10.

With the creation of the Sustainability Prize, ACCIONA aims to drive the commitment to culture and art, by combining economic development with social progress and respect for the environment. All its work is carried out with the company claim in mind: "Pioneers in development and sustainability".
