ACCIONA Real Estate will be showcasing homes that use up fewer energy resources and bring down pollution.

ACCIONA Real Estate will take part in Barcelona Meeting Point, held at the Feria de Barcelona trade fair center from October 19th to the 23rd. The Company will be showcasing its offering of first and vacation homes available at a number of locations on Spain's Costa Brava, Costa Daurada, Manresa, and the provincial capitals Lleida and Girona, with prices ranging from €80,000 to 166,000. ACIONA Real Estate's developments feature sustainability principles and introduce four important aspects: energy savings, rational water consumption, clean construction and sustainable design.

The developments on offer at this event include Les Roselles, located in the coastal town of Sant Antoni de Calonge (Girona). The homes are just a stone's throw from the beach and provide a broad range of services and amenities, such as nearby schools, supermarkets and shopping malls. The homes themselves (prices start at €135,000) have a generous communal garden space with a swimming pool and car park. The one- and two-bed apartments have private gardens at the ground level and the top floor apartments have large terraces.

The Costa Brava is also the location for the Turó del Mar complex in Lloret, adjacent to the Santa Clotilde Gardens, with homes starting €99,900. Turó del Mar offers 1-, 2- and 3-bed apartments, as well as ground-floor flats with private Gardens and top-floor apartments with spectacular views. The development also features a private communal garden space with a swimming pool.

Visitors to ACCIONA's 78 square meter booth at the BMP 2011 real estate show will also find 2- and 3-bedroom apartments and up to 4-bed detached homes at the exclusive Les Dàlies residential complex (Roda de Bará-Tarragona), starting at €166,900. Les Dàlies is a beachfront development on the Costa Daurada and is within easy reach of the Port Aventura amusement park (30 minutes' drive) and a variety of local tourist spots such as Salou and Cambrils. The complex features communal areas, swimming pools, gardens, children's play area, car park and storage rooms.

Other ACCIONA special offers at the BMP fair include homes at Els Romanis (in Sarrià de Ter-Girona), a development set in landscaped grounds, and just a few minutes' drive from downtown Girona. The 3-bedroom homes, built to a modern design and with quality fittings, start at €149,950.

Other ACCIONA Real estate developments available in the Catalonia region include the last few homes at the Alosa Residencial residential complex, on Lleida's Onze de Setembre  Avenue (from €110,000) and the last remaining two-floor, 1- and 2-bed homes at Els Blauets, not far from downtown Girona (from €141,400). And, finally, there are 2- and 3-bedroom apartments and generous terraces (from €80,000) available at Els Esparvers, located in the most desirable areas of Manresa, with excellent regional rail connections and a broad range of local amenities.

Eco-efficiency comes first

All ACCIONA Real Estate developments are built according to sustainability criteria, and one of the company's main goals is to develop projects that contribute to environmental conservation. To this end, ACCIONA Real Estate has set its own criteria based on the following premises: energy savings, rational water use and clean construction with a sustainable design. By meeting these criteria, ACCIONA ensures long-term savings and respect for the environment.

ACCIONA Real Estate homes are equipped with mechanisms that allow for overall energy efficiency, studying the limits of thermal demand through passive saving. Special techniques are applied, such as the use of bioclimatic architecture, efficient heating and air conditioning systems that use renewable energies, including solar thermal energy; home automation and regulation systems; efficient lighting, such as low consumption bulbs and lighting timers; low-energy appliances (A, A++); and energy-saving elevators.

Inside every ACCIONA Real Estate home, water use is reduced by installing elements such as flow-control faucets and dual-flush toilets. Outside, water consumption is kept to a minimum by using gardening systems with automatic watering, indigenous flora and systems that recycle and reuse gray and rain waters. This helps to take full advantage of water resources for use in communal areas.

With regard to construction, all ACCIONA Real Estate projects attempt to enhance habitability and accessibility: better acoustic and ventilation conditions, advanced planning for maintenance, and efficient construction systems, among other improvements. Similarly, ACCIONA Real estate uses materials with lower environmental impact after studying an LCA (life-cycle analysis). The company also uses environmentally-certified recycled materials and FSC-approved wood. In addition, ACCIONA Real Estate studies alternative water-quality systems, such as non-chlorinated swimming pools, and the management of waste.
