- Innovation
ACCIONA works closely with the R&D&I department at the ACCIONA Group, collaborating on diverse projects aimed at designing applications for advanced technology in pursuit of sustainable development.
At ACCIONA, we see innovation as a catalyst for change and continuous improvement.
Our growth is founded on leadership and technical excellence, allowing us to be more and more ambitious in pushing for enhanced productivity, exceptional products and services and a standout experience for clients and employees.
Our commitment to innovation keeps us looking forward, always seeking out new construction processes, materials, equipment and facilities that add value to our developments and property assets. It’s what drives us to rise to the challenge of delivering higher quality, more sustainable buildings with greater agility and speed. We believe that technological RD&I is critical to our future success. For our clients, it promises to outline new paths to an unprecedented quality of life.
ACCIONA’s developments embrace the benefits of industrialised construction. Factory manufacture allows for fine-grained, continuous monitoring, improved traceability at all stages and a high-quality finished product with a faster turnaround.
One of the greatest advantages of industrial processes is their contribution to sustainability:
Our new homes are fitted with smart home systems with multiple benefits, all designed to take the friction out of everyday life. The right technology can make a big difference to the comfort, safety, efficiency and sustainability of your home.
BIM
BIM (Building Information Modelling) is now a staple tool for improving collaboration, graphic representation and accuracy in development. By compiling all information relating to the project into a single digital model, accessible to all actors, BIM makes it easier to spot conflicts at an early stage and displays changes in real time, thus reducing the scope for error. Simulations and in-depth analyses can be used to fine-tune both the design and its execution, so projects can be delivered faster, more sustainably and at a lower overall cost. With all documentation and project data together in one place, maintenance and project management becomes simpler and more efficient, all the way to the end of the building’s useful life.
AI
We want to harness the benefits of AI to optimise project management and automate repetitive tasks, freeing up time and energy for growth and innovation. AI can help us predict trends and make more informed decisions, leading to greater competitiveness and innovation in the sector.
Enerbrain
This pilot project allows users to control a building’s HVAC systems by leveraging AI algorithms. Enerbrain is an end-to-end solution that processes environmental data relayed by proprietary sensors. It monitors electricity use and communicates automatically with the BMS to maintain thermal comfort and sharpen energy performance.
Hobeen
Hobeen is a smart energy monitoring system being piloted by ACCIONA. The application keeps track of a household’s water, gas and electricity use and coordinates all other smart home systems through a single platform, allowing users to scale down their bills and their carbon footprint from the comfort of their living room.
ACCIONA INMOBILIARIA SLU is participating in a project entitled “Digital Platform for the Management of Industrialised Construction Components” (file number AEI-010500-2022b-258).
Backed by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism and the EU Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, this project has received funding from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism as part of a package of support for innovative business clusters (AEI), aimed at boosting competitiveness in the Spanish industrial sector.
ACCIONA INMOBILIARIA S.L.U. has received a financial contribution of €11,602.50 from the NextGenerationEU Fund, part of the framework for the European Union’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. The funding will support the development of an “85 kWp photovoltaic installation for the purposes of self-consumption”, as defined in a programme to incentivise self-consumption and self-storage of energy from renewable sources in the residential sector launched by the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, administered and coordinated by the Region of Madrid and the Spanish Institute for Energy Saving and Diversification.
ACCIONA INMOBILIARIA S.L.U. has received a financial contribution of €23,705.85 from the NextGenerationEU Fund, part of the framework for the European Union’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. The funding will support the development of an “211 kWp photovoltaic installation for the purposes of self-consumption”, as defined in a programme to incentivise self-consumption and self-storage of energy from renewable sources in the residential sector launched by the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, administered and coordinated by the Region of Madrid and the Spanish Institute for Energy Saving and Diversification.
